How much does a law firm website cost in 2026?

Prices range from under a hundred dollars a month to tens of thousands up front. Here is what each kind of provider charges, what drives the price, and the costs that are easy to miss.

In short.

A law firm website costs from about $99 a month on a self-serve platform you edit yourself, to $3,000 a month and up from a full-service legal marketing agency. A one-off build runs from about $1,000 for a template site to $18,000 and up for custom work, before hosting and upkeep. These are prices the providers publish themselves.

The four ways to pay.

What drives the price.

  • Who writes the words. Writing fifteen to twenty pages well is often more work than designing them.
  • Who keeps it current. A cheap build that nobody updates costs you later, in out-of-date fees and staff.
  • What is bundled. Agency prices usually include SEO campaigns and ad management, not just the website.
  • Custom design. A design made for your firm costs more than a theme with your logo on it.

The costs people miss.

  • Hosting, the security certificate and backups, every month or year.
  • Someone's time for every change, whether that is you, a staff member or a developer billing by the hour.
  • Migration from your old site, and redirects so you keep your existing search results.
  • Leaving: an exit fee, a long notice period, or losing the site if you never owned it.

How to compare quotes.

Ask every provider the same questions: How many pages are included? Who writes them? How are changes made, and how fast? Who owns the domain and the files? What is the contract term, and what does leaving cost? A price only means something next to those answers.

Ours, for comparison: $299 a month, every page and every change included.
